This was our very first trip to Costa Rica.
We hired a car and had 17 days to explore a part of this green paradise. During this time we experienced a safe holiday destination with very friendly people and an amazing flora and wildlife.

After almost 9 years of abstinence we were desperate to travel to the USA again.
Since we had visited the Southwest a couple of times before there was no need for us to concentrate on the absolute highlights. So this time we also travelled somewhat off the usual routes of tourists.

Los Angeles — Palm Springs — Joshua Tree National Monument — Death Valley — Las Vegas — Sedona — Tucson — Tombstone — Yuma — San Diego — Carlsbad — Long Beach — Los Angeles

Puerto Rico — December 2009 / January 2010
The turn of the year 2009/2010 we spent in Puerto Rico.
Although it was a very relaxing journey it was not too impressive. For that reason we haven’t written a travelogue. If you are thinking of a Caribbian holiday, we are sure you will find better places than Puerto Rico.
Stops on our trip:
San Juan — Rincon — Guánica — El Yunque — Vieques Island

In October 1999 we spent a fortnight in New England driving around in a rental car.
We travelled through pleasant little towns, on each corner we saw pumpkins and tenderly stuffed straw dolls. and we admired the fantastic foliage of the Indian summer.
Stops on our trip:
Boston — Portland — Acadia NP — Plymouth — Burlington — Ticonderoga — Berkshires — Portsmouth — Provincetown — Boston

On our first — and so far only — journey to Mexico we visited the Yucatan peninsular.
Besides relaxing days on the beaches of the Carribean side of Yucatan, there was plenty of Maya culture to explore. We rented a VW beetle (the old one of course!) and canvassed the archeological sites. of Uxmal, Chichen Itza and Tulum.
Stops on our trip:
Cancun — Isla Mujeres — Merida — Campeche — Uxmal — Chichen Itza — Playa del Carmen — Cozumel

Vacation in Alaska? Sure!!!
This trip without a doubt is one of the best vacations we have ever had. We rented an RV and explored Alaska and Yukon, Canada on a three weeks tour. The endless distances and the vast emptiness and great scenery of this region was an unforgettable experience which we enjoyed so much.
Stops on our trip:
Anchorage — Homer — Seward — Tok — Dawson City — Whitehorse — Haines — Fairbanks — Denali NP — Achorage
